Role overview

Title: Manager, Market Supply Planning

Manager: Director, Canada & Puerto Rico Cluster Lead

Grade level: D6

Location: Princeton Pike, NJ

Scope of the role

Single point of contact, serving as interface between market / customer leadership and Global Supply Chain, responsible for management of finished goods supply for assigned markets / customers, reporting directly to Global Supply Chain as part of the Global Market Supply Operations organization.

Key responsibilities

Accountable to deliver supply strategies between markets / customers and BMS supply sites, keeping the patient at the center of everything we do.

Accountable for Supply planning for BMS global markets & customers and continually manage and operationally maintain planning information and data in ERP systems.

Responsible to lead and/or support market S&OP process in line with BMS global standards.

Continually interact and network with key BMS stakeholders to ensure continuity of supply to markets / customers and to support continuous improvement of BMS processes.

Ensure master data is maintained accordingly through collaboration with Markets / Customers and manufacturing / principal sites.

Investment in relationship management with key BMS Markets, Customers and manufacturing Teams.

Support New Product Introductions as required.

Effectively evaluate, mitigate and communicate any inventory or supply risks that may impact a market / customer including; preparation of stock overviews, heat maps, inventory shortages, obsolescence, artwork changes etc.

Responsible for supply risk management processes & communication to all key BMS stakeholders in agreed timeframes and as per BMS guidelines.

Collaborate with internal & external supply sites to ensure supply plans are effectively executed.

Responsible for the implementation of regulatory / artwork changes into market & customer supply, in liaison with key global stakeholders.

Lead/support in Global Supply Chain projects as required (e.g., supply chain improvement project, product divestitures, etc.).

Participation in inventory projections and budgeting cycles.

Ensure key supply chain performance metrics for customers & markets in scope are achieved, providing analysis & insights to key drivers.

Influences and makes decisions on market supply through fact-based analysis and understanding of supply chain complexities & constraints.

Professional experience and qualifications

8 years of related experience at a reputable, global pharmaceutical, consumer product or related company.

Highly Preferred: experience in operations, manufacturing and/or supply chain.

Strongly Preferred: Good understanding and exposure to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other regulatory requirements (EMA, TGA).

Working knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and SAP BI reporting, and related supply chain planning and data analysis tools.

Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Knowledge of compliance procedures (regulatory/ financial /EHS).

Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

Customer oriented.

Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the global practices where business is conducted.
