SUMMARY
Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified
Strategic Planner for the Department of State, GTM/TAC Program Assistant program. The Strategic Planner will be involved in extensive contact with the public and engagement with prospective candidates for the Foreign Services, which is often an candidate’s first personal contact with the Department of State.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are

Initiate and update records for Generalist, Specialist and Limited Non-Career candidates related to employment in the TAC Tracking Application (REETA)
Provide guidance to candidates on ranking, deferment, veteran points and language rules and regulations
Provides timely guidance to internal stakeholders on candidate files, priorities, and equities
Timely responses to email and telephone inquiries from candidates regarding ranking, deferment, language points, veteran points, medical/security clearance and suitability questions
Prepare registrar and pipeline reports
In coordination with the Team Lead, prepare draft guidance on registrar priorities for Director and Deputy Director
Prepare memos and scanning of employment documents to Payroll
Initiate new hires into the travel database
Initiate new hire personnel actions (form SF-50)
Prepare and forward form SF-75 request for personal data information on transferring employees from other federal agencies
Receive and assemble new candidate files from the Assessment Center
Liaise with Records Management for retrieving and retiring hired and closed candidate files
Liaise with Diplomatic Security (DS) representatives for processing of candidates who pass the oral assessment
Prepare first day entry on duty confirmation packets for new employees
Prepare and scan the request for personal ID badges (form DS-1838)
Initiate and process State Department ID badges using the DS badging equipment
Compile Hiring Status Report in Excel spreadsheet and maintain required statistical data
Maintain current list for travel assignment technicians
Initiate service computation dates updates
Brief stakeholders on the status of daily work assignments
Assist stakeholders with special projects as needed
Prepare and send out official offer emails to candidates
Prepare and track customer service survey data
Assist with training of incoming (new) support staff
Perform other ancillary duties as needed
Serve as receptionist at front desk as needed and provide escort support as required
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Secret Clearance Required
Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills are essential
Six (6) years of experience Required
High School Diploma
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
Microsoft Office Suite including Word, and Excel
Experience in scheduling and coordinating changing schedules
Professional and highly organized
Ability to identify and prioritize tasks
Concise writing and communication responses to emails and calls
Preferred
Experience working in a highly professional setting

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
