Role Summary:
As a Transformation Planning Director, you will provide strategic planning support to the Sponsors, Workstream Leads (WSL), and Initiative Owners (IO) in driving the organization’s strategic outcomes.
The Transformation Planning Director will have direct responsibility within the SG&A spend within the Strategy office department and will have indirect responsibility in continue progress forward towards the Company’s Operating Income goals through outcome-based accountability in transformation initiatives
Responsibilities:
Drives successful outcomes with partnership of Workstream Leads and Initiatives Owners
Provides hands-on mentorship / coaching for Sponsor, Workstream Lead and Initiative Owner
Provides strategic planning support for given sponsorship and/or workstream
Teaches the growth mindset throughout the process, driving shift in culture
Leverages enterprise resources to provide “best-in-class” content expertise
Build capabilities and skills in partnership with cross functional teams
Facilitates delivering on our strategic outcomes by:
Coordinates people, processes, and tools
Provides support in navigating the Strategy Office (SO) and using its infrastructure (meeting cadences, integrated processes, Wave tool, etc.)
Builds impactful Strategy Office communication
Shapes solution(s) to enable initiative development and execution by:
Advises on how to build plans quickly to move through stages
Coaches and problem solves when needed to unblock Initiative Owners / Workstream Leads
Sets accountability to deliver at pace and scale
Ensures quality of initiative deliverables are embraced at each stage
Stakeholder Management
Assesses cross functional teams on their engagement, and gather additional training, support where needed
Ensures needs are met with Key Stakeholders (Executive Team, Sr. VP and VP’s)
Continually provides improvements on approach to reach necessary audiences
Builds Team Culture within the Transformation Planning Team
Onboards additional team members
Shares in best practices, learnings with each other
Actively participates in other team building activities (including building the brand, development opportunities, and recognition)
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree preferred
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, project management, problem-solving, and influencing skills
Strong influencing, coaching and mentoring skills; demonstrated success in building credibility with peers and key stakeholders (often at a VP and SVP level) to drive action and change.
Desire to enable change, excel in a flexible and fast-moving environment, and ability to build strong relationships across the organization.
Must be a clear and articulate communicator and have professional poise and presence with a diverse set of audiences, with the ability to partner across all levels
Previous experience developing and leading business strategies supporting large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
Previous experience as a Workstream Lead or Initiative Owner
Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion for driving lasting change
