SUMMARY:

To provide a constrained production plan and deployment recommendations using appropriate planning tools in support of the S&OP process. The plan should balance the competing metrics of service levels distressed inventory rates finished goods inventory levels and plans and costs associated with manufacturing and distribution of those products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Interacts regularly with Marketing Brand Managers and Directors; Plant Managers; Operations Directors and VP's; Category Management Directors and VP's. To all of these positions the Supply Planner will be a key contact representing the Supply Chain for their items. Develops and maintains a 13 week master production plan for assigned categories across multiple manufacturing facilities. The Supply Manager will be responsible for highly complex and visible categories. Works across and collaborates with multiple categories to mentor coach and train develop other planners. Supports and leads the development of incremental tools and processes that support the continued growth of the organization including innovation LEAN initiatives and other cross-functional activities. Plans controls production and sets distribution inventory goals for finished goods. Responsible for maintaining Manugistics settings for assigned category. Responsible for entry and maintenance of purchase orders for assigned category. Responsible for validating long term schedule months 3-18 and maintaining the JDA model in support of Plant Planning requirements to improve schedule outputs. Assists in budgeting process for Supply Chain provides long term plans PSI . Represents Supply Chain in S&OP process. Leads weekly Operations Meetings. Communicates supply chain issues recommendations for resolution within these meetings. Interfaces with Plant Schedulers to convert rough-cut production plan to finite schedule on a weekly basis. Review potential shortages daily and communicate potential shortage distressed information to the front end and other appropriate departments. Responsible for notifying Procurement Plant Planning of significant changes that affect high-risk items. Participate in meetings with cross-functional team members to support business initiatives and adjust plans accordingly. Responsible for driving resolution of any shelf life issues on packaging and raw materials with Procurement Distressed Sales Team through the S&OP process.

QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: Bachelors degree required

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years field experience in planning and operating supply chain assets within a high-volume CPG environment. Proficient or well-developed with advanced planning technology and decision support tools Proven problem solving experience involving a variety of functional departments and management levels.

Computer Skills: Excellent PC skills Excel Word Power Point JDA and SAP technology.

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential

Position Specific: Familiarity with advanced planning technology and decision-support tools and CPIM or APICS designation preferred.
